Anand Niketan is a Marathi Medium non-aided school, basically for middle class and lower middle class rather affordable to all sections of society/masses. Started at June 1998 with preprimary section and 14 students and currently has 310 students from Pre-School to Class X. The school is recognised by Government of Maharashtra on permanently non-grant basis. The school follows the prescribed curriculum of Maharashtra state board. We are developing activities based teaching-learning methods, using project method and self-study to ensure better grasping of basic concepts, interconnections between subjects and their applications. Learning by doing is the most appropriate approach to ensure joyful participation of the learners along with the teachers. The school encourages study tours, experiments, interaction with artists and experts.
To achieve and enrich the motive, in addition to textbooks study tours, other reference books, materials, audio-visual aids, experiments, interaction with artists, scientists and experts in respective fields are part of teaching process. For better understanding and expression, the medium of instruction is Marathi, while special efforts are made to provide exposure to children to Hindi and English from an early age. Continuous training programs are arranged for our teachers to update their knowledge and introduce them to the new ideas in education field.
